1. Mumbai University revises more exam dates,timings

MUMBAI: The Mumbai University on Friday revised exam dates for four papers and the timing for three papers.Dates for these exams were clashing with either other subject combinations of the same group of students or with repeaters exam from the previous semester.
This is the fourth time the university is making changes to the schedule for TYBA students,leading to confusion.The changes were made after the university had to postpone exams on account of elections and for staff training for poll duty.Students fear the changes will delay results.Exams for May 16 are yet to be rescheduled.

2. Pune varsity suspends controller of exams

PUNE: University of Pune (UoP) vice-chancellor Wasudeo N Gade on Friday handed out a suspension order to controller of examinations (CoE) Sampada Joshi after a three-member inquiry committee indicted her in its interim report for having no effective control over the exam department and for lack of coordination.
"We have placed the CoE under suspension pending a departmental inquiry," Gade told TOI. "The suspension letter was given to Joshi this morning. Director of UoP's board of college and university development Vishwas B Gaikwad has been given additional charge of the CoE office."

3. Check JEE Main Result 2014 on 3 May 2014

CBSE conducted JEE Main Exam on 6 April 2014, 9 April 2014, 11 April 2014, 12 April 2014 and 19 April 2014. The two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II were held in JEE Main 2014. The exam was held at 150 Centres across the country and the result will be declared on May 3. About 14 lakh students were appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2014.

4. UPSEE 2014 Admit Card Released by UPTU

Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) has issued the admit cards for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE). The respective exam is scheduled to be held on 20 April 2014 and the result will likely to declare in the month of June.
Candidates can download the UPSEE Admit Cards 2014 through below link or visit the official website www.upsee.nic.in. Provide appropriate data like Registration No., Date of Birth, Security Pin etc. to download the admit card.

5. ICET- 2014 Exam for Admissions to MBA & MCA

CET - 2014 is an Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) for admissions into M.B.A and M.C.A cources of all Universities in Andhra Pradesh and their affiliated colleges. This test is being conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal fifth time on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad on 23 May 2014.

6. India: Marginalized Children Denied Education

(New Delhi) - School authorities in India persistently discriminate against children from marginalized communities, denying them their right to education, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today. Four years after an ambitious education law went into effect in India guaranteeing free schooling to every child ages 6 to 14, almost every child is enrolled, yet nearly half are likely to drop out before completing their elementary education.

8. Over 49,000 clear state management CET exam

PUNE: As many as 49,252 candidates have cleared the state government's 'MBA/MMS CET 2014' - the qualifying examination for admissions to management degree courses in the state. The directorate of technical education (DTE) declared the results of the exam recently.
The DTE, who is the competent authority for the test, had initially scheduled the CET results for April 21, but released them on its website on April 8. "There is no change in the rest of the MBA/MMS admissions programme that has been posted on the DTE website: www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mba2014," S P Yavalkar, deputy director at the DTE Mumbai office, told TOI on Friday.

9. IIT-Delhi shows cheap can be wonderful

10. 24 score less than zero in CET

NAGPUR: Even though just scoring zero marks in common entrance test (CET) are enough for admission to management courses, about two dozen students across the state managed to score even below that. Seven candidates scored 99.99 percentile while 24 students got below 0.00 percentile.
The CET decides admission to first year of two year full time post graduate degree courses in Management namely Master of Business Administration (MBA)/Master of Management Studies (MMS) and Post Graduate Diploma Course in Business Management (PGDBM)/ Post Graduate Diploma Course in Management (PGDM) in various institutes in Maharashtra.
